As Africa enters a new phase of agricultural transformation, the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) remains at the heart of the continent’s development agenda. Launched in 2003 by the African Union’s NEPAD initiative, CAADP has driven efforts toward economic growth, food security, and regional integration. In January 2025, African leaders renewed their commitment through the Kampala Declaration, extending the program under the CAADP Strategy and Action Plan 2026–2035.

The Executive Director of the ANAPRI Secretariat, Dr. Antony Chapoto recently had the privilege of attending the high-level 20th Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) Partnership Platform (CAADP-PP) and the commemoration of the 15th Africa Day for Food and Nutrition Security (ADFNS) held from 29th October to 1st November 2024 in Harare, Zimbabwe.
