
Dr. TINASHE KAPUYA - Director of programmes and policy
Tinashe is an experienced commodities analyst, agricultural value chain and trade specialist who has worked in this capacity both as a researcher and practitioner in the private sector over the past 10 years. His areas of expertise include agribusiness and value chain development, market and trade analysis, agro-food system analysis, research, and policy advocacy. Tinashe was previously a contributor to the Agbiz Weekly Newsletter, GrainSA magazine, FarmBiz Magazine, and the Landbouweekblad, and Business Day, among others.
He earned a Ph.D. Agricultural Economics at the University of Pretoria. He was the inaugural recipient of the Agricultural Economics Association of South Africa's Bax D. Nomvete and a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation scholar. He is the current ANAPRI director of programmes and policy and project lead for the policy prioritization through value chain analysis project (PPVC).
