At the recently concluded 28th Annual Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) Conference held in Kigali, Rwanda from 25 to 27 June 2025, ANAPRI contributed meaningfully to global discussions on economic transformation through its side event focused on agricultural value chains.

As we move forward in the new year, we at ANAPRI are deeply grateful for your unwavering support, which has been instrumental in advancing our shared vision. With renewed energy, we are focused on building upon past successes, including the impactful Farmer Know Your Soil Campaign, our coalition efforts under the AFSH-AP, and the launch of the ANAPRI Modelling Services Centre. Our dedicated centres across 15 countries are already fully immersed in this work. Looking ahead, we remain committed to strengthening agricultural systems, fostering new partnerships, and driving policy change to create a lasting impact on Africa’s food systems. EMPOWERING ANAPRI CENTRES TO TRANSFORM AFRICA’S AGRICULTURAL LANDSCAPE
From 29 July to 2 August 2024, the city of Pretoria, South Africa, hosted a pivotal training week for the PPVCII Fellows, organised by ANAPRI. This event marked a significant step in equipping researchers within the network with the tools and knowledge needed to drive transformative change. At the heart of this training were Value Chain Analysis (VCA) and Partial Equilibrium (PE), two critical methodologies that hold immense potential for reshaping Africa’s agriculture and food systems.
